Each year, GE puts six percent of our industrial revenue back into technology — so much that more than half of the products we sell today didn’t exist a decade ago.

American Renewal: Immelt Addresses The Detroit Economic Club

In a speech to The Detroit Economic Club entitled, “An American Renewal,” GE chairman and CEO Jeff Immelt focused on the need for U.S. businesses to aggressively invest in R&D and export-driven manufacturing if the country is to successfully emerge from a “reset” economy.
Five Generations, One GE Family

Since GE got its start in 1878, the company has had a tradition of hiring families. In certain cases, whole family trees end up looking like GE organizational charts. One of those families, the Colucciellos, has produced 16 employees, totaling some 270 years of combined experience.
